Jill graduated with honors from the University of Texas, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and teaching certification in English and Psychology. A native Houstonian, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake and teaching certification in Marketing from the University of Houston. Jill maintains an active role in professional, community and service organizations, including the American Society of Training and Development, Leadership North Houston, Institute of Management Consultants, and HR Houston.
